The UJC invites you to become part of our mishpacha – our family. In a fragmented, impersonal world, we offer community and connection. For those of us who are far from family, we offer a warm, accepting spiritual home. For those who hunger for the wisdom of the Jewish tradition, we offer sustenance for the heart and the mind. We are here to help you mark the joyous moments in your life and to be of support to you in times of sorrow.
While we welcome guests at our services and programs, only membership sustains the vital mission of our congregation to ensure that Hong Kong’s Progressive Jewish Community will continue to thrive. Membership dues are a necessity, but are so much more than financial support. Your dues are the raw material out of which we will create holiness together.
You are eligible for membership if you are Jewish or if there is one adult Jewish member of your household. Those who have been accepted as conversion candidates by our Rabbi can also join The UJC as Associate Members. If you do not live in Hong Kong or environs (Macau, Shenzhen etc.) we welcome you to join as a non-resident member. (Note that full membership is required to celebrate a lifecycle event at The UJC.)
Financial challenges will not be a barrier to your membership of The UJC. If you would like to discuss a special payment plan or reduced fee please speak with Rabbi Zamek or Treasurer Priscilla Adams.
